Musculoskeletal Radiology

Focused on the neurologic system, Neuroradiology is an integral component of Radiology dealing with disease of the brain, spine, and head & neck. Brain and spine encompasses a vast spectrum of disease processes including traumatic, degenerative, oncologic, vascular, infectious, inherited, and autoimmune processes. Head & neck, while covering the same processes, serves to provide even further specialized evaluation of complex oncology of the neck, sinuses, and orbits.

State of the art imaging techniques including MRI, CT, MR and CT angiography, perfusion imaging, PET/CT, and nuclear medicine are now routinely used to evaluate patients. Utilizing these techniques, the Neuroradiologist is able to diagnose many disease states and guide management of existing disease.

M&S Neuroradiologists work closely with referring Primary Care Physicians, Neurologists, Neurosurgeons, and ENT surgeons through in-person and phone consultations. Complex head and neck oncology cases are discussed at our weekly multidisciplinary tumor conference with ENT surgeons, Pathologists, Radiation-Oncologists, Hematology-Oncology, Dentistry, and Speech Pathologists. These trusted relationships and interactions between the Neuroradiologists at M&S and referring physicians ensure excellent patient care.
